Submit a data correction

Data accuracy is very important to us. Help improve our IP geolocation database.

For ISPs, Network Operators, and IP Address Owners

If you manage IP address ranges and want to ensure accurate geolocation data, you can submit corrections using our geofeed submission form.

Submit your Geofeed

The preferred way to provide geolocation corrections is via a publicly hosted geofeed URL.

If you provide a geofeed, we can automatically update your data. You can host your geofeed on your own server, on a Google Sheet, or on Github.

Learn more about geofeeds

Please explain why you are the authoritative source for this data (e.g., you are the ISP that owns these IP ranges). If you can't host a geofeed URL, you can also paste geofeed-formatted text here. Maximum 10,000 characters.

For individual users

If you've noticed that your IP address shows an incorrect location in our database, you can help us improve our accuracy.

Submit your location

Sharing your location from your device helps us improve our database accuracy. No other personal information needed.

Clicking the button will prompt you to share your location with us. This location comes from your device, and helps us verify the correct location for your IP address.

FAQs

Why is my location wrong?

IP geolocation data is primarily provided by ISPs and network operators. Sometimes this data may be outdated or incomplete, especially if:

  • Your ISP has recently reassigned IP address blocks
  • You're using a VPN or proxy service
  • You're connected through a corporate network
  • Your ISP hasn't provided accurate location data

For permanent fixes, we recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider directly, as they are the authoritative source for this information.

I'm an IP address owner. How can I update my location?

If you're an IP address owner and want to update your location, you can submit a correction using our geofeed submission form above.

Can't host a geofeed on your own server? There are a few other options.

  • You can create a geofeed using a free Google Sheet, or host your geofeed on Github, and send us the URL
  • You can submit your geofeed to OpenGeoFeed, a community-driven project that hosts geofeeds for ISPs.

Or, you can submit your geofeed-formatted data using the form above, or email us at [email protected].

What is a geofeed?

A geofeed is a standardized format (defined in RFC 8805) that allows network operators to provide geographic location information for their IP address ranges.

Geofeeds use a comma-separated values (CSV) format, with each line representing an IP address range and its associated location information:

# prefix,country_code,region_code,city,postal_code
192.0.2.0/24,US,US-CA,San Francisco,94105
2001:db8::/32,JP,JP-13,Tokyo,100-0000
